Microsoft has recently released Dynamics GP 2018. This release (Dec 2017) included a rebuild of the Odata module, ultimately drastically increasing the portability of data between Dynamics GP and Power BI (and other Odata readers).

Power BI on the GP home screen was released a few years ago, but it was always a challenge because of the Odata restrictions... so, if you've tried this before, be sure to revisit this with GP 2018!

GP Desktop

After a good amount of feedback, this has changed and it works VERY well! There are several out of the box data connections but you can create your own using SQL Views... AWESOME!

If you are looking to get more data out of GP in terms of insights, Key Performance Indicators, metrics, and on demand/real time data, then take a look at GP2018's Odata integration!

With Power BI and the #MSDYNGP Odata, you can see your data on your GP home screen, Excel, on PowerBI.com (desktop, Tablet, and Mobile devices!) and across all web browsers!

Power BI Dashboard

Check it out! I LOVE IT! I think you will too!
